Karen Sargeant worked with Dr Lucy Glancey before setting up Glancey Medical Associtates in 2002.
Karen qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 1987 and went on to have a successful career heading a national chain of beauty salons. In 1993 she moved into Further and Adult education and gained a Certificate in Education at the Anglia Ruskin University. She qualified as an Advanced Practitioner responsible for raising standards of teaching in a large Further and Adult education college.
Karen continues to work with awarding bodies in the development and origination of courses. She was recently elected as a member of council for BABTAC and CIBTAC and is on the advisory panel for the professional beauty magazine Vitality.
Karen is a regular contributor to magazine and press articles and is regularly invited as a guest speaker and industry expert at beauty trade shows and seminars.
Karen overseas the operational activities of the groups clinics and associated clinics as well as being a hands on practitioner. She has gained a BTEC qualification in Laser and IPL procedures and trains other practitioners in the use of IPL and Laser technology providing regular updates as required by the Care Quality Commission.
Karen's specialities include IPL and Laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation. She is the clinical skin practitioner for Glancey Medical specialising in skin health, anti ageing, pigmentation disorders and vascular dysfunction.
